Founded by Detroit native Tania Bennett, AXC in Action was born from the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to connect, explore, and belong. By partnering with community organizations, cultural institutions, and local businesses, we help remove barriers and create experiences that celebrate inclusion, build community, and inspire lasting connections.
AXC in Action is an organization that builds art, social settings and culture in the community of the blind, low vision, deaf and hard of hearing community. We also plan with wheelchair users and their families, because belonging should not stop at the curb, the stair, or the unmarked entrance.
AXC in Action is an organization that seeks and curates social, cultural and athletic experiences that would allow people who are blind/low vision, deaf or hard of hearing to participate in a way that is inclusive, meaningful and overall joyful.
